How to make netherite horse armor in Minecraft?

Minecraft recently introduced the netherite horse armor for their upcoming game drop, Mounts of Mayhem. While there are several tiers of horse armor in the game, players have eagerly waited to use the strongest material for it. The netherite horse armor also becomes the second one that players can create, the first one being the leather variant.

Here are the steps to create the netherite horse armor in Minecraft.

First, you need to find a diamond horse armor in Minecraft. This can be quite tough since they cannot be crafted and are extremely rare to find as chest loot. Here is a list of structures where it has the probability to be found:

• Monster Room - 6.8%
• Ancient City - 16.1%
• Desert Pyramid - 5.9%
• End City - 4.6%
• Jungle Pyramid - 4.4%
• Nether Fortress - 11.1%
• Stronghold - 2.5%
• Village (weaponsmith chest) - 5.6%

2) Find a netherite smithing template

After finding diamond horse armor, you then need to find the netherite upgrade smithing template, which is another tough item to obtain. This is because it is only found in Bastion Remnants chest loot, which is one of the hardest structures to explore because of piglins and piglin brutes.

It has a 10% chance of generating in one of the chests, but will always be present in the treasure chest located in the special treasure room, Bastion Remnants variant.

3) Find ancient debris for netherite ingot

Lastly, you will have to find at least four ancient debris blocks deep in the Nether to craft one netherite ingot. Ancient debris blocks generate most commonly at Y level 15 in the Nether, which is a dangerous level to mine because of lava lakes and pockets.

Once found, they can be smelted to get netherite scraps, which can be combined with gold ingots to get a netherite ingot.

Finally, you can take these three rare items and combine them on a smithing table to get the new netheite horse armor. This armor will provide 19 points of armor to your horse and keep it safe from most attacks and damage.
