The distance traveled using it is maximized if the wielder looks directly horizontal when they activate it.

However, this charged attack will consume hunger points and saturation, as well as significantly affect the durability of the weapon. The amount is dependent on the intensity of the attack. A Level 1 Lunge consumes 1 hunger point, a Level 2 consumes 2 points, and a Level 3 consumes 3 points. However, the devastating damage makes it a great attack to use against tank-type mobs.
