Minecraft Mounts of Mayhem is finally out for everyone to download and enjoy. The game drop mainly focuses on adding new mobs and mob variants that players can ride. Additionally, it adds a new weapon, the spear, with which players can fight other hostile creatures and players. Hence, this is an action-packed, exciting game to drop to end the year with.

Here are some of the activities you can do first once you download Minecraft Mounts of Mayhem.

1) Find and tame nautilus

Nautilus is a brand new underwater rideable mob in Minecraft Mounts of Mayhem. After the update, this mob will have a 50% chance of spawning in cold, deep cold, frozen, and deep frozen ocean biomes. As the ocean biomes become warmer, they have a less and less chance of spawning.

You can head out in the ocean to find these creatures and tame them by feeding them pufferfish or a bucket of pufferfish. It is worth mentioning that you should have ample pufferfish since they can only be tamed by feeding. Once they are tamed, you can place a saddle on them and ride them.

2) Find and fight with undead mounts

With Minecraft Mounts of Mayhem, Mojang added loads of undead rideable mobs on which all three kinds of zombies can mount. Regular zombies might spawn mounted on zombie horses, zombie husks might spawn on camel husks, and drowned zombies might spawn on zombie nautilus.

Hence, you can have a lot of fun fighting these mounts. You can mount your own horse, craft a strong spear, and charge into the battle.

3) Craft a spear

You can also craft spears after updating the game. These are less powerful than swords in some scenarios, but are even more powerful than maces under the right circumstances. To craft one, you will need two sticks and one earth material of any kind, like wood, copper, iron, gold, diamond, etc.

Once crafted, players can test the weapon by doing two kinds of attacks: jab and charge. Jab is a simple attack where you stand still and thrust the spear forward. The charge attack is when you hold out the spear and run towards a target. The faster your movement speed is, the more damage a charge attack will do.

4) Craft a netherite horse armor

In the Minecraft Mounts of Mayhem game drop, you can also craft a netherite horse armor for the first time. Though netherite has been in the game for quite some time now, Mojang never added a horse armor made from the material until now.

Similar to other netherite gears, the horse armor also needs to be converted from diamond. Hence, you first need to find a diamond horse armor that can be found in Ancient Cities, Nether Fortresses, Monster Rooms, etc. Once found, it can be placed on a smithing table with a netherite upgrade smithing template and a netherite ingot.

5) Apply lunge enchantment to a spear

Lunge is a new, spear-exclusive enchantment in Minecraft Mounts of Mayhem. This power-up allows you to dash forward whenever you do a jab attack. If you time your jump, you can easily dash several blocks forward. It has three levels, each level increasing the distance of the dash, but also taking one hunger point per dash as energy.

Since this is a regular enchantment that can be found from an enchanting table, from a librarian, or by fishing it from a water body.
