Minecraft is about to get the fourth and final game drop of this year and the developers are calling it the Mounts of Mayhem game drop. As the name suggests, the focus of the update is to bring mobs that can be ridden. But to many players, this might be the best game drop of the year for many reasons.
This article will feature the five best features that Mounts of Mayhem update is bringing to the blocky world of Minecraft. The Spring to Life game drop was all about improving the immersion, Chase the Skies was about exploration, The Copper Age fixed the copper block, and Mounts of Mayhem is going to make combat more fun.
5 best features of Mounts of Mayhem game drop for Minecraft
1) Spear

The spear will be one of the most interesting weapons in Minecraft because it is very similar to the mace. However, unlike the mace, players can easily craft this weapon and have it in abundance. It comes with two attacks; a jab and a charged attack. What’s even more interesting is that the attack damage increases with the speed of the wielder.
Players can use the spear while being on a mount such as a horse and then use the speed to deliver a powerful blow. In player vs player modes, jousting competitions can be held which shows how interesting this weapon can be for the blocky game.
2) Nautilus mob

Nautilus mobs can be found in the ocean but that’s not the interesting part about it. This will be the first underwater mob that players can ride. Once it is tamed, players can equip the normal saddle on it and then explore the ocean world. There’s also a zombie variant of the nautilus that will be mounted by the drowned.
Another great thing about the nautilus is that once the player sits on it, they automatically get the Breath of the Nautilus status effect that enables them to breathe underwater. It removes the hassle for crafting multiple underwater breathing potions and constantly consuming them.
3) Zombie horse

Zombie horses were in the game for a long time but the only way to bring them was by using spawn eggs or commands. But with the Mounts of Mayhem update, they are finally available in the Survival mode as well. While the developers took their time, it was worth it.
Zombie horses will spawn with a zombie on their back holding a spear. Once players get them off the mob, the zombie horses will become passive. The great thing about this mob is that it can breathe underwater.
4) Parched

The parched is the latest skeleton variant for the desert biome and many players are calling it the equivalent of a “mummy.” With the parched, there will be five skeleton variants in the blocky world. The parched is very similar to the skeletons but they have lesser health and do not burn in sunlight.
Just like other skeleton variants, the arrows of the parched have a special effect. In this case, the parched shoots arrows of weakness. More hostile mobs in different Minecraft biomes make exploration more challenging and fun.
5) Camel husk

The parched will arrive in Minecraft with a mob; the camel husk. Just like the zombie nautilus, it will be the undead version of the camel mob. Since the camel can take two mounts, the camel husk will have both parched and the husk.
Filling up the deserts with more mobs is a great move to make this biome feel more alive. The Mounts of Mayhem update is scheduled to release on December 9 for both Java and Bedrock edition of Minecraft.
