Puneri Paltan coach Ajay Thakur pointed out the exact moments from the Pro Kabaddi 2025 Final against Dabang Delhi KC which proved to be the reason behind the team's defeat. Thakur felt that the biggest blunder came from his team's raiders Aslam Inamdar and Aditya Shinde in the initial phase of the match.
Speaking at the post-match press conference of the Pro Kabaddi 2025 Final, Ajay Thakur looked back on his team's 28-31 defeat in the match against Dabang Delhi KC. It was Ajay's first season as Pune's full-time head coach, and his team fell just four points short of winning the final.
In the early phase of the match, Inamdar and Shinde got out in the same raid by Neeraj Narwal, where both the Pune players tried to tackle Neeraj but failed. Ajay opined that that was the biggest mistake from his team in the final.

"In the first few minutes of the match, our two raiders Aslam Inamdar and Aditya Shinde got out in the same raid while trying to tackle. I think that was the biggest mistake. They went for the tackle, and they got out. Our team's morale was down after that," Thakur said.
Puneri Paltan conceded a six-point lead by half time. Although Pune performed better in the second half, they could not defeat Dabang Delhi KC.

Coach Ajay Thakur further pointed out his team Puneri Paltan's mistakes in the final match and named two more moments from the second half, where his team erred. Thakur continued:
"We committed a few errors. In the final moments, we gave a bonus point to Neeraj Narwal. We should have tackled him instead. I think that was a turning point. As far as Aditya is concerned, I think he was so tired, he could not give his 100% energy to escape from the tackles."
Aditya Shinde scored a Super 10 for Puneri Paltan in the Pro Kabaddi 2025 Final. However, he got tackled thrice as well, and his efforts ended in a losing cause.
