Sting Ray Robb is seemingly at risk of losing his 2026 IndyCar seat with Juncos Hollinger Racing. His manager had told reporters in the paddock that Robb had signed with JHR on a multi-year deal that extended into next season.
However, at no point has the Argentinian-American team confirmed the same. On October 13, even when they announced the signing of Rinus Veekay as the team's "lead driver" for 2026, team principal Dave O’Neill highlighted that the Dutchman would be "a key part of a refreshed lineup." But there was no mention of Sting Ray Robb in the press release.
The doubts about the partnership increased this week as Juncos Holling Racing brought a major update to its website. On the 'Drivers' section of the website, Veekay's name, photo, and bio appeared at the top. In the second driver slot, Sting Ray Robb's name wasn't there.
Instead, there was a silhouette of a driver against the backdrop of artistic green waves representing JHR's brand color. Instead of the name, the tag read "TBA," which stands for "To be announced." Conor Daly, who was initially thought to be the driver Rinus Veekay replaced, remains in the mix for the second seat at JHR.
Robb had a mediocre 2025 season in IndyCar. His only Top 10 finish of the season came early on at the Grand Prix of Long Beach. JHR was his third team in three years after one-season stints with Dale Coyne Racing (2023) and AJ Foyt Racing (2024).
Sting Ray Robb's future at Juncos Hollinger Racing lies partially in Rinus Veekay's hands

With Juncos Hollinger Racing naming Rinus Veekay as its "lead driver" for the 2026 IndyCar season, he might have more say in the team and also some authority in choosing his teammate.
In an interview with SpeedFreaks after his JHR signing, when the Dutch driver was asked if he had a say in choosing between Conor Daly and Sting Ray Robb or a third driver as his new teammate, he replied [5:50 onwards]:
"Yes, definitely. There's always the money factor, that's the thing, which of course I don't have much to say about. But definitely about teammates, it's very important. For me, it's like I call it my right hand that helps me and speeds up the process every time. So, the better the teammate, the better I can be."
If the choice was between Daly and Robb and based purely on performance grounds, with the team's financial requirements kept aside, Veekay is more likely to go with the former. Daly is an oval specialist and was more consistently nearing the midfield in 2025, with four Top 10 finishes, including a P5 in Nashville.
