IndyCar veteran Graham Rahal has shared an update on the incident from November 24, when gunshots were fired at his performance shop in Zionsville, Indiana. The Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver had broken the news two weeks ago via an Instagram story.

He had shared a photo of the broken glass of the shop, and wrote:

"To the GREY NISSAN ROUGE that decided to shoot at our building last night, we will find you, and our cameras are actively watching your moves."

Zionsville police had investigated a piece of tempered glass from the building and concluded that the weapon used was a BB gun. In a recent appearance on the Query & Company podcast, Graham Rahal was asked about the shooting and the implications on his business.

"Yeah man, we got shot with a, I don't know, we had a couple pellet, some high-powered pellet gun," the IndyCar driver said [12:15 onwards]. "Although somebody was on campus and working at Bowdies, at the Chophouse, and we got up here. They said it did sound like a bullet, but we believe it's a pellet gun. It shattered two of our windows. Just got the bill for it - $15,000. So if those kids are listening, thank you."

Rahal founded Graham Rahal Performance in 2017 as a product of his love for road cars. The business does a whopping nine figures in revenue, outperforming certain Ferrari dealerships, as he shared on the Off Track with Hinch and Rossi podcast in November.

Graham Rahal asked the police to employ the juvenile perpetrators at GRP to recover $15000 in damages "the hard way"

Graham Rahal also shared details about the actions of the two juveniles who were in the Nissan Rouge and shot at the GRP building. He described the incident as a "disappointing" happening.

On the aforementioned podcast, the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing driver mentioned that he asked the Zionsville police to let him put the two juvenile perpetrators to work in the GRP parking lot to "teach them a lesson" and laughed about making them recover the $15000 in damages "the hard way."

"Two juveniles, they went from either either to Lebanon, shot out some windows in Lebanon, or went from Lebanon to us," said Rahal. "Either way, it doesn't really matter. It's a shame because they are juveniles. The town of Zionsville, the police department did a wonderful job finding them, but we get no details."

"I told them, 'Hey, bring them on over here. We'll teach them a lesson. They can start sweeping the parking lot. We'll put them to work. They can pay for the windows the hard way.' But it is what is. It's disappointing for sure. But hopefully, it doesn't become a pattern," the 38-year-old added.

On the IndyCar front, Graham Rahal will see Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing enter a new era in 2026. The team has signed former F1 driver Mick Schumacher to replace the underperforming Devlin DeFrancesco.
