Former IndyCar driver Marco Andretti took to the social media platform X and shared a health update with the fans following a colonoscopy. The 38-year-old confirmed the presence of a polyp, which was operated on and removed by the doctors. The procedure went well, and Andretti is recovering.Marco is the third generation of racing drivers from the Andretti family. He is the grandson of motorsport legend Mario Andretti, and son of IndyCar champion and former teammate owner Michael Andretti. The American recently announced his full-time retirement from motorsports after the 2025 IndyCar season ended.Marco Andretti made his IndyCar debut in 2006 for his father's team and raced full-time until the end of the 2020 season. Since 2020, he has participated as a one-off entry for Andretti Global in the Indy 500 each year. However, he made the decision to retire from motorsports in October 2025.The 38-year-old took to the social media platform X on November 13 and shared an update about him getting an early colonoscopy. A polyp (an abnormal growth of tissue) was found and was removed. I am glad I did 7-10 years early as polyp was found and taken out.
