Rohit Sharma will be in action once again during the upcoming ODI series between India and South Africa. The Men in Blue host the Proteas for a three-match ODI series beginning November 30 at Ranchi.

South Africa won the two-match Test series 0-2 and will aim to carry the momentum into the one-day series as well. Meanwhile, the hosts will aim to put the Test defeat behind them and bounce back.

In the Test series against India, which was tough for batters throughout, Markram got to decent starts with scores of 31, 4, 38, and 29. Moreover, he has an impressive ODI record in India. His experience of having played in the IPL over the years and having done well in the previous season will also give him confidence heading into the ODI series. Markram will have a vital role to play at the top of the order for the Proteas.

Star batter Virat Kohli will also be in action during the South Africa ODIs. Kohli took time to get going in Australia during India's previous series. He scored two consecutive ducks in the first two games. However, he found his groove in the final match of the series and struck an unbeaten 74 off 81 balls.

That said, he will look to carry the confidence and momentum from that knock into the upcoming series. Given that India are playing a home, Kohli could get going right from the first game.

Rohit Sharma showcased brilliant form in the recent series against Australia Down Under. While he had a low score in the first game, he bounced back with a half-century and an unbeaten century in the next two matches, respectively. Rohit Sharma ended the series with 202 runs at an average of 101.

In the final ODI, he struck an unbeaten 121 off 125 balls with 13 fours and three sixes. Rohit Sharma has scored 806 runs against South Africa in 26 ODIs at an average of 33.58 with three centuries and two half-centuries.
