Aided by a barrage of attacks, the Men in Blue indulged in a spectacular goalfest, much to the delight of coach Craig Fulton and the support staff.Brendan Guraliuk gave the Indians an early scare by scampering into the circle and earning a penalty stroke in the opening seconds of the match. Guraliuk took the stroke himself, but Mohith HS somehow managed to stop the ball on the line.Nilakanta Sharma found the back of the net in the fourth minute before Rajinder Singh doubled India's lead in the 10th minute, squeezing the ball in from close range.Brendan Guraliuk made amends for missing the penalty stroke by converting a penalty corner in the 11th minute.After having struggled with his drag flicks thus far, Jugraj Singh finally struck the target in the 12th minute when India earned a penalty corner, even as an ill-tempered Balraj Panesar was shown a 5-minute yellow card.Amit Rohidas aimed his drag-flick at the roof of the net in the 15th minute before Rajinder Singh scored another off a penalty corner in the 24th minute.A sharp steal from Dilpreet Singh outside the 25-yard line resulted in India's sixth goal after the striker from Amritsar indulged in a delightful one-two with Shilanand Lakra before tapping the ball past Zachary Coombs in the 25th minute.Jugraj Singh found the top left-hand corner of the net to score his second and India's seventh in the 26th minute.Matthew Sarmento pulled one back for Canada in the 35th minute.Jugraj scored his third after Canada had to defend the penalty corner with one runner less, thanks to a missing helmet. Selvam Karthi scored from open play in the 43rd minute before Amit Rohidas scored off a penalty corner in the 46th minute.
