Record-Breaking Performances at Khelo India University Games 2025
The athletics competition started with a bang as Rahul of Chandigarh University clinched Gold in the Men's 20km Race Walk, setting a blistering new Meet Record time of 1:25:43.00s. Suraj Yadav from Jannayak Chandrashekhar University secured the silver medal. The record spree continued when Ruchir Mori of Swarnim Gujarat Sports University also shattered the previous mark in the Men's 400m Hurdles, finishing in a record time of 51.00s.
The women’s track and field events also produced record-breaking results as Deepika of Chandigarh University clinched the Gold in the Javelin Throw with a new Meet Record of 55.53m, joined on the podium by silver medalist Jyoti from Guru Kashi University and bronze medalist Saloni of Kurukshetra University.
In the High Jump event, Pooja of Lovely Professional University cleared 1.77m to win the Gold and establish a new Meet Record. The silver medal went to Khyati Mathur of Guru Kashi University, while Giji George Stephen of Anna University earned the bronze.

Other notable winners in athletics included Dikshita Ramkumar Gouda from Mangalore University, who won the Women's 400m Hurdles Gold. In the distance running events, Nikita Sharma of Chandigarh University won the Women's 1500m Gold. The Women's 20k Walk Gold was claimed by Komal of Lovely Professional University, who was ahead of Gayatri Chaudhari and Mahima Choudhary.
The men's section saw Arjun Waskale of LNCT University take the Men's 1500m Gold.
