Gujarat's Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi gave Narendra Modi the credit for Ahmedabad being named the official host for the 2030 Commonwealth Games. The 2030 edition of the Games marks the 100th year of the mega event, and Gujarat's city Ahmedabad will play host to the marquee tournament.
To celebrate Gujarat getting the hosting rights for the 2030 Commonwealth Games, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi reached Chintan Shibir at Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram in Dharampur of Valsad. The ministers were warmly welcomed with drumbeats and fireworks.
Speaking at the celebration event, Harsh Sanghavi said that the hard work put in Narendra Modi 20 years ago is bearing fruit now. Before becoming the nation's Prime Minister, Modi was Gujarat's Chief Minister for a long time.
Sanghavi further mentioned that after securing the hosting rights for the 2030 Commonwealth Games, the next goal is to secure the rights for the 2036 Olympics. Everyone present at the event in Dharampur exchanged sweets to celebrate this joyous moment.

The Gujarat CM concluded by saying that under the guidance of Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, India stands fully prepared to welcome the entire world to the nation and present itself as a global sporting hub.
