GTA 6 is expected to have a plethora of unique main and side missions that will keep players hooked for hours. In the first two trailers, Rockstar gave a sneak peek at what some of the missions look like, where Jason and Lucia are seemingly doing illegal activities. While fans are excited for these new missions that will feature in the game, some old ones should also return.
For example, one of the side missions from GTA San Andreas, called Vigilante, should make a comeback in GTA 6.

Reasons why Vigilante missions should return to GTA 6
GTA 5 never allowed players to become proper cops

After the Vigilante missions in GTA San Andreas, in which CJ caught criminals while driving a police vehicle, future GTA titles never gave players a chance to play as a cop.
The only time players briefly acted as cops was in the I Fought the Law mission, where Michael and Trevor dress up as San Andreas cops and steal cars for Devin Weston. In this particular scene, players were cops, but fake ones, to do an illegal activity.
Hence, in GTA 6, a new set of Vigilante missions could return, where Jason could get a chance to become a cop and help others in Leonida. His army background could fit well with the narrative of being contacted by the authorities for his help on the ground.
Fun role-playing side mission to explore the in-game world

The Vigilante missions will not only let players play as a cop in GTA 6, but they will also allow them to see Leonida from a different perspective. Players will be able to go to different shady places in the city and bust criminals with other officers. This will give them a completely different experience than what Grand Theft Auto usually offers.
Hence, it will be an extremely fun side mission that will add a role-playing aspect to the story mode.
