Why GTA Online's new mission creator is a big deal

Recently, Rockstar Games announced that they will add a new Mission Creator toolkit for all GTA Online versions. This toolkit will essentially help players create in-depth missions using most game mechanics, custom objectives, placeable actors, and more. Basically, players will be able to create their own missions.

An argument can be made that the new Mission Creator is a massive deal for GTA Online's future and even GTA 6.

GTA Online has its fair share of user-generated content. Over the years, players have created various smaller content like deathmatches, stunt areas, races, and more. However, a dedicated mission creator toolkit will be a lot more impressive and exciting.

These creator tools will allow players to create new or re-create old and iconic missions. They will be able to create new heists, contact missions, delivery missions, and much more. Some old and iconic missions, like CJ chasing a train, or the Union Depository heist, can also be re-created specifically for GTA Online.

Though Rockstar Games added loads of DLC to GTA Online, the game became a bit boring for many players. With the new mission creator, however, a new interest can spark in the community. This could be a great step to make GTA 5's Online version eternal.

It is safe to say that GTA Online A Safehouse in the Hills could be one of the last DLCs Rockstar releases for GTA 5's multiplayer version. A large team in the company must already be focusing on GTA 6's Online version. Since the mission creator has finally been added to the current GTA Online, there are strong chances that it could very well be implemented in GTA 6 Online. The toolkit could arrive with the game at launch.

This is a massive step towards community-creator content, something which millions of fans would appreciate.
