Fans have high expectations for Rockstar's next massive title, GTA 6. It is the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto series after almost 13 years, and the next Rockstar game after eight years. When the Studio's most recent titles are observed, GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption 2 had a lot darker and more realistic storylines compared to others, especially GTA 5.
An argument can be made that GTA 6's story might not be as grounded as GTA 4 and RDR 2; it might have an over-the-top environment, characters, and missions. Here's why.

Reasons why GTA 6's story might not be as grounded as GTA 4 or RDR2
GTA 6 is set in Florida's parody state Leonida

GTA 6 will be set in a parody version of Florida, called Leonida. On the internet and meme culture, Florida is known to have some of the most bizarre incidents, which have turned into memes. Furthermore, Rockstar Games is known for exaggerating American culture and all the bizarre and hilarious incidents that take place.
Hence, there are extremely slim chances that GTA 6 will be as grounded as GTA 4 or RDR2. The latter titles had a much darker and realistic environment, character relationships, and more.
Several over-the-top scenes have already been revealed in trailers
As of now, Rockstar has released two trailers of GTA 6, which already feature several over-the-top scenes. In one scene, which seemingly shows a mission part, a pickup truck is dragging an entire safe, which is inspired by the final heist in The Fast and the Furious Five. This particular heist already looks extremely bizarre and borderline unrealistic.
Another scene shows Lucia fighting another strong female character on a plane. One half of the plane is open, and both Lucia and the other women fall onto a broken part of the plane while continuing to fight. This is also a bizarre and unrealistic fight scene that shows GTA 6 might not be as grounded as GTA 4 and RDR2.
