Fired Rockstar Games employees recently stated that they would love to return to the company and finish ongoing projects like GTA 6. These comments were made during a recent protest from union members against the company for firing workers as a way of busting a union.A GTA fan account on X named GTABase interviewed a few developers who were part of the protest with the Independent Workers' Union of Great Britain (IWGB). When asked whether they would like to return to Rockstar, they agreed and said that reinstatement would be great since they simply want to make games under better conditions and complete their pending projects. Here's what one fired worker said:"Yes. Yeah, I think so. Reinstatement is the goal at the moment and I would love nothing more than to finish this project with everyone else. We just want to keep making games, we just want games to be made under better conditions."Another developer chimed in that the working conditions within Rockstar need to improve, and that they love the people with whom they work. They said:"Yes. I love what I do. I would say it’s not the conditions that I work in that make me love the work - it’s the people I work with."Ever since Rockstar Games fired 34 employees at once from their UK and Canada branches, the IWGB community instantly connected with them and protested against the company. The first protest was held on November 6, 2025, where many people from the union stood with the fired workers and raised their voices against the studio. Also Read: GTA developers Rockstar Games face legal claims after firing union workersGTA developers accused of "union busting" by IWGB president after firing union workersSoon after Rockstar Games fired the employees who were connected to a union, the IWGB's president, Alex Marshall, responded.
