How to unlock Michael's mission in GTA Online A Safehouse in the Hills

Michael De Santa from GTA 5 finally features in GTA Online A Safehouse in the Hills DLC that Rockstar recently released. Fans have craved to see the popular protagonist feature in the multiplayer title for years now. The developers revealed him in the update's official trailer, where he welcomes you to your new mansion and is also seen in action.

However, when you download the update and enter a lobby, it will be slightly hard to find the Michael-related mission. To unlock it, you will have to purchase a new mansion and complete Avi Schwartzman missions first. Here are more details about it.

Method to unlock the Michael mission in GTA Online A Safehouse in the Hills DLC

Own a mansion

First, you need to know that Michael will only appear in GTA Online when you purchase a mansion. Otherwise, neither he nor his mission will be available.

To purchase a new mansion, you need to open the browser on your mobile, head to the new Prix Luxury Real Estate website, and purchase one of the three mansions.

Once you do so and enter your mansion, a cutscene will begin where Michael and his wife, Amanda, will welcome you to the neighborhood. However, this will not unlock the Michael-specific mission.

Complete all Avi Schwartzman contact missions

To unlock the Michael mission in GTA Online A Safehouse in the Hills update, you need to complete Avi Schwartzman contact missions called "KnoWay Out."

When you open your map, you will see an "A" symbol in the main Los Santos city from where these missions can start. Avi will contact you through a payphone and give you various tasks to essentially destroy the KnoWay self-driving taxi business.

These missions include you causing havoc by controlling one of the self-driving cars, stealing data from the KnoWay company, and escaping from the FIB building after stealing important data from them as well. It is essentially like a Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid with a small finale, after which you will receive $525,000 as a reward from Avi.

Once you finish this all of Avi's missions, he will call you to warn you about the KnoWay mercenaries planning to attack you. While reaching your mansion, your AI Assistant will inform you that the mercenaries have taken over your mansion.

This is essentially the Michael mission, where the GTA 5 protagonist comes to your mansion to help wipe out the enemies.
