How to complete KnoWay Out mission 1 Negative Press in GTA Online A Safehouse in the Hills update

GTA Online's A Safehouse in the Hills update has finally been released, and it comes with some exciting new missions. As usual, you need to buy at least one of the new mansion properties to initiate these. The level design for these missions is quite fun, and it involves infiltrating the FIB who is using an autonomous driving technology company to spy on people. The first mission has you infiltrate the KnoWay company's depot, hijacking one of their robotaxis, and taking it for a wild ride in order to damage the company's PR.

So, here's a step-by-step walkthrough to complete Negative Press in GTA Online A Safehouse in the Hills DLC.

You'll get access to the KnoWay Out series of missions in GTA Online: A Safehouse in the Hills even if you don't buy a mansion. But it's better if you do so, since you get to see a cherished Grand Theft Auto character make his return. Just head over to the Prix Luxury website, choose a mansion (or all three if you want) and purchase them.

Once you head inside, you'll be greeted with a cutscene showing Michael, Amanda, and Mr. Faber. The next time you head out into Los Santos, you'll get a message on your phone from an unknown contact, suggesting you to head to a particular address. You can find this location marked with an "A" icon on the map. Just head over and pick up the payphone to start KnoWay Out.

Once you pick up the phone, Avi Schwartzman will brief you about the types of missions you'll be doing and give you the next location and the first proper mission. Just like before, head over there and pick up the phone.

Here are the list of objectives that this mission gives you:

Go to the KnoWay depot.
Take out the KnoWay guards.
Enter a KnoWay test pod.
Damage KnoWay's reputation.
Destroy the KnoWay billboards and taxis.
Destroy your KnoWay taxi.
Destroy the KnoWay taxis.
Leave the area.
Go to Avi's dead drop.
Open the trunk of Avi's Felon GT.
Answer the payphone.

Infiltrate the KnoWay depot

Your first task is to get inside the KnoWay depot marked on your map. Just drive over and head inside on foot.

Take out the guards and take over a test pod

Next, you'll have to deal with the security inside the building, which is rather lax. You can easily clear house without raising the alarm by shooting the guards in order. However, even if you do alert them, there aren't any extra reinforcements to deal with.

Once the coast is clear, get inside a KnoWay test pod; this is what lets you drive the robotaxis. Drive the vehicle out of the garage and into Los Santos.

Go out and do some mayhem

Next, you'll get three objectives that will destroy the company's reputation in San Andreas. These can include the following tasks:

Maintain a speed of 50mph for 15 seconds.
Cause 5 high-speed collisions with vehicles.
Knock over 10 traffic signals.
Reach a height of 9m in the air.
Perform 5 near misses in traffic.
Knock down 5 pedestrians

Most of the objectives here are quite simple, but keep in mind that knocking down pedestrians will get the attention of the police.

Once you're done with the first set of tasks, you'll have to destroy several KnoWay billboards and robotaxis around the city. The billboard locations can vary, whereas the robotaxis will be constantly moving.

Meanwhile, disabling the KnoWay robotaxis usually needs two hard collisions.

Destroy your robotaxi

Once you're done damaging the company's image, destroy the vehicle you're driving. You can do this by simply ramming things until your vehicle health (that will appear in the bottom right) goes down. Or, simply drive into a gas station and hit a gas pump to go out in style.

You'll then have to destroy the other three robotaxis that are still inside the depot. Just chuck some grenades to do so.

Leave the depot and reach the dead drop

The police will be on to you as soon as you're done destroying the depot. You'll have to be quick and climb down into the highway to avoid them.

Once the cops have lost their interest in you, head to Avi's dead drop location, which will be marked with your waypoint. Open the trunk of the car there to receive your reward, and answer the payphone to learn about the next steps.
