How to complete Home Sweet Home in GTA Online A Safehouse in the Hills update

GTA Online: A Safehouse in the Hills brings back Michael De Santa, and after showing up in a brief cutscene, he eventually arrives in person to lend a hand to you during the Home Sweet Home mission. This mission is unlocked after you complete all KnoWay Out missions. You'll also have to own a mansion and have to watch the first cutscene, which you get after visiting your mansion. The mission itself is quite straightforward, but the number of enemies you'll be facing here can be overwhelming.

Home Sweet Home walkthrough for GTA Online A Safehouse in the Hills

After finishing the KnoWay Out mission series and its finale, A Clean Break, you'll have to spend some time away (around 5 minutes) from your mansion, or any other property, for the next mission to spawn. Unlike the contact missions provided by Avi, this one requires you to own at least one mansion in GTA Online: A Safehouse in the Hills.

Avi will then call you, asking you to go meet him. However, this turns out to be KnoWay, using Avi's voice to lure you into an ambush. The real Avi will soon call you, informing you about the trap, before his call glitches out and abruptly ends. Your AI Concierge will then call you, letting you know that your mansion is under attack from KnoWay mercs. Here's the order of tasks that you'll be getting in Home Sweet Home:

Go to your mansion.
Take out the KnoWay mercenaries.
Enter the mansion.
Go to the lower level.
Go to your vault.
Go to the first floor.
Go to the Office.
Access your terminal.
Enter your mansion.

As instructed, head to your mansion and watch the chaos unfold.

You'll witness KnoWay mercenaries and your own mansion security shooting at each other. Help your guards out by killing some of the home invaders.

The driveway is easy to clear, so just head inside, where the scene will be much more violent.

You'll have to keep shooting more KnoWay mercenaries and eventually head down to your vault.

You'll have to keep moving and taking care of more KnoWay mercs who will blast their way in.

Michael drops a reference to the events of Meltdown, the GTA 5 story mission where he has to defend his family from a home invasion from Merryweather mercs.

Go to your office and access your terminal, where it seems that your AI Concierge has been taken over. Watch the hilarious cutscene unfold and get ready for some more action.

The next section is unique to GTA Online, not just the A Safehouse in the Hills DLC. This is because, for a brief period, you get to use Michael's bullet-time ability. Use this to its full extent and eliminate as many KnoWay mercs as possible here.

Watch out for the Annihilator Stealths, which will drop down more reinforcements. However, the most dangerous enemy here is the KnoWay merc wearing juggernaut armor. Make sure to take him out as soon as he appears. A minigun might come handy here.

Deal with the last few KnoWay mercs, after which you'll get attacked by more helicopters.

The final wave arrives in the driveway, with a Menacer in tow. Kill the turret user first, as he can wipe out a huge chunk of your health quite easily.
