Rockstar Games has announced the new and updated release date of GTA 6 as November 19, 2026. This new date pushes the release back by 5 months and 3 weeks, creating an almost 6-month postponement. Naturally, the gaming community exploded, with gamers and fellow players disappointed by this update.

Thousands of players and users on social media platforms rolled out an array of memes and tweets, with brands such as KFC and Domino's Pizza taking digs at the developers. However, the official account for CDPR had a rather cheeky response to the announcement. They reposted one of their older tweets that had announced no more delays, referring to the postponement of Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 was notorious for its delays, with multiple postponements before the title was released. Even after release, it faced issues due to an array of bugs. However, it gradually emerged as one of the most popular titles in recent times. The fact that CD Projekt Red joined the fray to take a dig at Rockstar really drives home the severity of GTA 6's delay.

The reposted tweet by CDPR takes a dig at Rockstar's repeated messages regarding the delay. This will be the third delay for GTA 6 since its original release schedule was announced for Autumn 2025. It was postponed to May 26, 2026. Now, the title is set to release on November 19, 2025. So, it comes as no surprise that the community is not really happy.
