World No.36 Michael Kim takes a dig at golfers struggling to stay inside World Ranking Top 50

Michael Kim opened up about the golfers fighting for their ranking. Players who finish inside the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking at the end of the year will secure their spots for the 2026 Masters.

OWGR guru Nosferatu had shared a list of the projected ranking of the players after two rounds of this week’s events on the DP World Tour and PGA Tour. They shared the post with a caption:

"Live' Top 50 #OWGR end-of-year projection after Rd2 at the 3 top events this week. As I said, with RNP and Reitan moving up, others like Nico Echavarria are getting pushed out. This is obviously very fluid, and things can change quickly."

Kim jumped into the comments section with a caption:

"Nice to not worry about this haha"

Michael Kim is ranked 36th in the OWGR and has yet to earn an invitation to the Masters 2026. He has enjoyed a decent season so far on the PGA Tour as well as on the DP World Tour.

Kim had some remarkable finishes on the PGA Tour. He started his campaign at the Sony Open in Hawaii, but he struggled with his game and missed the cut. He then settled in T43 at the American Express. Some of his notable finishes are T2 at the WM Phoenix Open, T6 at the Cognizant Classic, solo fourth at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and T16 at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Meanwhile, on the DP World Tour, he won the FedEx Open de France.

Kim has last played at the DP World Tour Championship and carded the four rounds of 64, 76, 71, and 69 to settle in a tie for 24th place.

Michael Kim announces a giveaway

Michael Kim announced an interesting giveaway for his fans on social media. He shared a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account talking about his partner, Applied Underwriters, and said that they run an annual AUW Invitational, which will benefit the charities around the USA. Sharing the post, Kim wrote:

Michael Kim shared more details about the giveaway and also shared what would be in the bag. It will include a duffle bag, Applied Underwriters mascot Big Dog headcover, cap, and towel, Bluetooth speaker, golf balls, divot tool, ball markers, and more stuff.

Kim is enjoying a good time away from the field and is pretty active on social media. He has around 219.5K followers on X.
