Brooke Matthews made the headlines for her phenomenal performance at The Annika. In the final round of the event, she made her first hole-in-one and could claim a Lamborghini Urus, which is worth around $270,000. However, she can't keep the car with her forever. It was only given to her on a lease of two years.

Starting in 2025, the LPGA Tour has stopped giving away cars to the players for making an ace during its events. Instead, the players receive it on a lease.

Aside from getting the car on lease, CME Group will donate $20,000 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on her behalf.

Brooke Matthews was completely awestruck after hitting the shot. She recorded it on the 12th hole of Pelican Golf Club. In the post-round press conference, she was asked about the donation made by the CME Group after her ace. In response, she said (via ASAP Sports):

"That's great. That makes it even better. I feel like I can't wait to see it on film. It was just so exciting and, yeah, that's icing on the cake that it's going to help something, too."

Meanwhile, speaking of her first hole-in-one, she called it the "craziest" moment of her life. She said (via ASAP Sports):

"It was probably the craziest moment of my life honestly. It was 140; had a 9-iron; hit like one hopped on the left hill and went in, and I still can't believe it."

Brooke Matthews started her final round at The Annika on the first tee hole. She added a birdie on the third, followed by a bogey on the seventh. She made two more birdies on the front nine and two eagles and a bogey on the back nine for a round of 65. She settled into a tie for ninth place.

"I made the decision at the beginning of the week that if I made it or if I didn't I was going to be okay with it, and I had a really good season and something to build off. Obviously it's kind of like the icing on the cake. Didn't really feel great out there off the tee but I was kind of proud of myself how I just kept going and trying to find it. When I hit a bad shot I just played it and didn't let it take it into the next hole.

Linn Grant won The Annika 2025. She registered a three-stroke win over Jennifer Kupcho. Meanwhile, it was the second-best finish of the season for Brooke Matthews on the LPGA Tour. She was tied for eighth at The Lotte Championship earlier this year.
