I think he did such an amazing job last season and we’ve made a great start this season. I think you just have so much faith in him and no matter what happens, you just feel David Moyes is the right man for the job.”

For the unversed, David Moyes’ signing was a call made by The Friedkin Group following their takeover of the club last December. The decision to bring back the ex-Manchester United boss to the side garnered a mixed reaction. However, fans like Fleetwood seem happy with the decision.

Tommy Fleetwood on Pep Guardiola's biggest weakness

Apart from Moyes, Fleetwood also made a big comment on Manchester City’s Champions League winning manager Pep Guardiola. The Englishman, who is a close friend of the Spanish player-turned-manager, revealed the latter’s weakness in golf during his recent football podcast appearance.

The eight-time European Tour winner said the six-time Premier League-winning manager’s golf game was not understating his position in the game. Fleetwood’s comment on Guardiola’s flaw came right after he lauded the latter’s golf swing.

Tommy Fleetwood said:

“His (Pep Guardiola) golf swing’s good! He is obsessed with golf. Like I say, whenever I try and pick stuff up, he’s too busy talking about his golf swing.”

When asked about the Spanish football manager’s biggest weakness, he replied:

“That’s a great question. He (Pep) is always looking for more. He doesn’t accept where he is and try to play his game.”

It is pertinent to note that Guardiola was playing off a 10 handicap in 2022, according to the Icon Series Website. Tommy Fleetwood is among the pro golfers who is often seen on the course with the iconic English Premier League manager. Interestingly, the PGA Tour star even claimed ‘picking stuff up’ from the latter to improve his game despite his expertise being in a different sport.
