The 82-time PGA Tour champion recently appeared in an interview with The Palm Beach Post, where he discussed many topics, including his comeback on the course. The golfer is out of the game after a back surgery in October to replace one of the disks in his lower back, and his comeback timeline has not been revealed.

Woods claimed in the interview that he has not made any hurried judgments and plans to take his time before deciding on his schedule for the 2026 season. Woods stated:

"Let me get back to playing again, let me do that, then I'll try to figure out what the schedule will be. I'm way away from that part of it and that type of decision and that type of commitment level."

Tiger Woods later claimed that he would analyze how long he would be able to play the game once he was fully back on the course before deciding his schedule. He added:

"Unfortunately, I've gone through this rehab level before; it's step by step. And then once I get a feel for practicing, exploding, playing, the recovery process, then I can assess where I'm going to play and how much I'll play."

Aside from that, Tiger Woods recently discussed his rehabilitation from back surgery and how it has not been going as well as it might.

The last tournament Tiger Woods competed in was the 2024 British Open, where he missed the cut. He has been away from competitive golf for a long time, and his return is awaited by fans. The golfer recently addressed the anticipation, informing followers that his recuperation has not gone as well as he had hoped.

The golfer stated:

"It’s not as fast as I would like it to be. It was a good thing to do, something I needed to have happen, and it just takes time and dedication to the rehab process. You can’t really do much on a disc replacement; you have to let it set. We got the OK to start cranking up a little bit in the gym. I’ve started strengthening and started doing a little bit more of the rotational component that I haven’t been able to do, and just letting the disc set."

Tiger Woods was also approved for chipping and putting, but his comeback is still going to take some time.
