Haney has been an ardent supporter of Tiger Woods' skills and accuracy for years. In August, he labelled a part of the golf media as 'corrupt' for spreading misinformation against the golfer's accuracy. Haney further cited Woods' 2006 statistics stating the eight wins that included two major victories and his excellence in terms of Strokes Gained off the tee and tee to green.

When Hank Haney called Tiger Woods 'unbelievable' and shared some interesting facts about his driving accuracy

Haney sat down for an interview on GOLF's Subpar Podcast back in 2022 sharing his experience during his tenure as Woods' swing coach. He praised the Former World No. 1 and labelled him as 'incredible' and 'unbelievable'. Haney stated in the episode:

"People speculate all the time about him, but they are guessing, I was there, I spent 150 days a year with him for six years. He was incredible, just unbelievable."

Haney also recalled Tiger Woods' driving accuracy during warm-up sessions and revealed that the golfer never missed a shot. He said:

"I would stand on the driving range and just think, There is no way these guys could beat him. There’s just no possible way. He hardly ever missed a shot. Ever. Like he would go on the golf course and miss a couple, but... he’d go through a warm-up and never miss a shot."

Woods bagged six majors and almost a third of his PGA Tour wins during Haney's tenure. Despite their infamous split back in 2010, Haney stated in his book titled "The Big Miss" that he would always remain on good terms with the five-time Masters winner.
