Relegated LIV star Anthony Kim opened up about the big prize money of the 2025 PIF Saudi International. The American golfer is playing this week in the Asian Tour event, which started with the first round on November 19. Kim is in contention for the title and is settled in the top 5 after two rounds.
In the post-round press conference after the second round on Thursday, Kim opened up about his performance. He reflected on his game and also talked about the prize money. However, he said that he is "not too worried" about the prize pool. He said (via ASAP Sports):
"I'm not too worried about that. That stuff used to matter to me. Right now I'm just working on taking one shot at a time and make good golf swings and enjoy my time here in Saudi Arabia."
He also talked about his excitement to play the event.
"It means that I actually want to go to the golf course. I was so excited to leave the golf course when I had -- you know, dealing with some of the mental illness and addiction issues. At this point I'm excited to be here, I feel blessed to be here, and I'm going to keep working as hard as I can," he added.
Anthony Kim returned to play golf after a decade-long break on the LIV Golf last year. But he had a tough time. This season, he settled in 55th position in season standings and was relegated from the series.
However, he bounced back with an impressive outing this week on the Asian Tour event and is in contention to win the event and earn the $1 million in prize money. The total purse is $5 million.

In the post-round press conference after round 2, he talked about his performance and said (via ASAP Sports):
"Obviously the score was good. I started off a little rough but got up and down when I needed to, and starting to feel more comfortable with my game out here."
Meanwhile, this season on the LIV Golf, Kim started the campaign with a T49 finish in Riyadh but then struggled in the Adelaide event, where he settled for 51st position. He also struggled in Hong Kong and tied for 50th place. His best in the season was T25 in Dallas.
