In his statement, Ancer expressed gratitude towards the players and staff at Fireballs GC. Further, he revealed why joining Torque GC is an exciting step in the next chapter of his professional golf career. Ancer said (via LIV Golf):

“I would like to thank Fireballs GC Players, Caddies and Staff for the last four years and for helping me grow as a person and a player. I will be forever grateful for that stage of my career and I wish them all nothing but the best in 2026 and beyond. Joining Torque GC is an exciting next step, both personally and professionally. Competing as part of an all-Latin team alongside close friends, whom I admire on and off the golf course adds a layer of connection and purpose that I can’t wait to be a part of.”

Apart from Abraham Ancer's statement, LIV Golf's website also featured a statement by Torque GC captain Joaquin Niemann. Expressing his excitement over this new addition, Niemann said that Ancer is a "proven winner," and that his addition makes Torque GC stronger.
