Lexi Thompson was struggling with some mental health concerns in 2018, and at that time, she even took a step back from professional golf and withdrew from the 2018 British Open, one of the LPGA Tour's major tournaments. The same year she adopted Leo, and later she revealed in an interview with Golf Monthly that her dog and family saved her life when she was struggling with her mental health.
