The LPGA Tour will co-sanction the Aramco Championship at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas next spring, bringing one of the PIF Global Series’ most prestigious events to the United States. The tournament, scheduled for April 2-5, 2026, will feature 120 players from the LPGA and Ladies European Tour competing for a $4 million purse, ranking among the richest events outside the majors.

Craig Kessler, who became LPGA commissioner in July, said the event shows the tour’s commitment to growing globally

"We often talk about routing, courses and purses, and this event checks every box. Partnerships like this, built on LET's longstanding collaboration with Golf Saudi and PIF, can help strengthen the women's game on a global scale and elevate opportunities for our athletes.” Kessler said.

The Las Vegas stop will be one of five tournaments in the 2026 PIF Global Series, joining the PIF Saudi Ladies International in February, the PIF London Championship in August, the Aramco Korea Championship in October, and the Aramco China Championship in November. Only the Shadow Creek tournament will count toward LPGA official money and the Race to CME Globe, giving it added significance for professional players.

How the Aramco Championship grew from a team event to a major stop for women’s golf

The Aramco Championship has come a long way since it began in 2020 as the Saudi Ladies Team International. It later became the Aramco Team Series, a regular feature on the Ladies European Tour that attracts top players from across the world.

Past winners of the Aramco Championship include Nelly Korda, Alison Lee, and England’s Charley Hull, who has won twice and finished runner-up five times. The series has already been held in the U.S., including stops in New York and Florida.

Marta Figueras-Dotti, chair of the LET board, said the event’s growth highlights the partnership with Golf Saudi.

“We've had a strong relationship with Golf Saudi since 2020, and this next chapter, welcoming the LPGA to join us at Shadow Creek -- highlights how far we've come in strengthening the global platform for women's golf," she said.

Yasir Al-Rumayyan, PIF governor, added that the co-sanctioned event marks a milestone for women’s golf.

"Today's announcement marks another significant milestone as we work closely with great partners at the LPGA and LET to introduce a co-sanctioned event as part of next year's PIF Global Series. The future of women's golf has never been brighter, on and off the course,” he said.

Previously held in Spain, Thailand, Singapore, and Hong Kong, the Aramco Championship will be the fourth co-sanctioned LPGA-LET event, joining the Women’s British Open, the Evian Championship, and the Women’s Scottish Open.
