With a few days to go before the year ends, Sportico has released a list of the athletes who have earned the most this year. It was topped by American 21-year-old tennis star Coco Gauff, who has reportedly earned around $31 million. This includes $8 million from her salary and $23 million from endorsements.
Nelly Korda is seventh in the ranking. She has earned around $13.8 million, including $2.8 million in salary and winnings, and the remaining $11 million from endorsements.
Korda enjoyed a fabulous season on the LPGA Tour in 2024; however, this season, she struggled to win a single tournament. However, she has earned a significant amount from endorsements.
Another golfer included in the top 15 highest-paid athletes is Jeeno Thitikul. She has earned around $10.1 million, which includes $7.6 million from a fabulous LPGA Tour season and $2.5 million in endorsements.
Thitikul has won three tournaments on the LPGA Tour this season, including the Mizuho Americas Open, which helped her earn $450,000 in prize money. She earned a check of $330,000 after winning the Buick LPGA Shanghai and a whopping $4 million check as she won the CME Group Tour Championship.
WNBA star Caitlin Clark is also on the list in sixth position. She has earned around $16.1 million.
