Henrik Stenson has reportedly made his decision about his career after being relegated from LIV Golf. The Swedish golfer had a tough time playing in the Saudi league this season and struggled to secure his spot for the upcoming season.
He had joined the Saudi league back in 2022 after his successful stint playing on the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour. Amid the ongoing reports about him joining the DP World Tour again, below is the full timeline of his career on the three circuits.
#1 Henrik Stenson moved from the PGA Tour
Henrik Stenson moved from the PGA Tour in 2022 after he joined LIV Golf. He started playing professionally back in 1998 and spent the initial days of his career on the European Tour.
He made the headlines on the PGA Tour after he won the WGC Accenture Match Play Championship in 2007. In his career, while playing on the PGA Tour, Stenson has won six total events. He won The Players Championship in 2009, registering an amazing four-stroke win over Ian Poulter. His last win on the circuit came in 2017 at the Wyndham Championship.
#2 Henrik Stenson’s LIV Golf career
Henrik Stenson had joined LIV Golf in 2022, and in the last four seasons, he had some decent finishes. In the first season, he settled in 18th position in the season standings. He won the Bedminster event in 2022, his only win on the circuit.
In 2023, he recorded some noteworthy finishes, such as a solo sixth in Chicago, ninth in London, fifth in DC, and settled in 25th place in season standings, and in 35th place in 2024. After three decent seasons, Stenson struggled in 2025 and settled in 49th in season standings and was relegated from the circuit.

“Over the course of a career, you’re going to have good years, you’re going to have bad years. It’s part of professional sports. You’re going to have disappointment. You’re going to have good times. On this end, I had the worst season out of the team, and I’m the one in the worst spot. You’ve just got to deal with it and move forward.”
#3 Henrik Stenson rumored to rejoin DP World Tour
As per a recent report by Bunkered, Henrik Stenson has reportedly paid his fines and is rejoining the DP World Tour. He had some amazing performances on the circuit over the years and is reportedly re-entering it.
Stenson won his maiden event on the European Tour back in 2001 at the Benson & Hedges International Open. He had 11 wins in the league, with the last coming in 2016 at The Open Championship.
