Former World No. 1 Fred Couples has opened up about a golf challenge he had with Tiger Woods back in 2018. The American golfer appeared on this week’s episode of SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio and opened up about the Thanksgiving hole-in-one made by the 15-time major winner seven years ago.Ahead of the 2018 Hero World Challenge, Tiger and his son Charlie joined Couples for a practice round at the Madison Club in La Quinta, California. While playing on the second hole, Woods made a hole-in-one. It was his first hole-in-one in 20 years.This week, while telling the story, Couples said that Charlie was stunned after seeing his father’s impressive shot. He said:"He just kind of—from 212 yards—you haven’t even left the tee, and you’re telling your buddy he’s got a shot. It could have trickled over, but I just thought it was in.""To say he got excited was an understatement. He went nuts, but Charlie loved it. And I want to say it was his first hole-in-one—I can’t put words in his mouth—but it was a long time since he made a hole-in-one, and that was some shot," he added.However, in recent times, Tiger Woods has limited his golf outings. In fact, he did not play in any official PGA Tour event this season.
