Scott Vincent leads The International Series’ season-long rankings and is in ideal position to claim one of two spots on LIV Golf next season. The Zimbabwean golfer, who played two LIV seasons with Iron Heads GC after winning the first-ever Rankings race in 2022, is set to climb back up. Ahead of his probable move up, he lauded the Asian Tour for ‘drawing better players’ and ‘growing’ over the years.

Vincent claimed that the whole experience of Asian Tour and The International Series is ‘really good’ as it presents ‘more opportunities’ for players pursuing LIV Golf. The 33-year-old, who won at International Series Morocco and had a narrow play-off loss at the Jakarta International Championship, stated that the series now force golfer to “play better” as the “cuts are moving up.”

Having had a strong start at the $5 million PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers, the two-time Asian Tour winner dubbed the feeder tour’s shift ‘exciting for the future.’

Scott Vincent said, as quoted by ASAP Sports:

“I think it's great (that there are more LIV Golf spots available from International Series). Obviously if you're on this side trying to get that way it's great that they open it up a bit more. I think the International Series is only getting better is the years go on. The tournaments are run well and just the whole experience is really good, and obviously more opportunities for us to pursue the Asian Tour to get on LIV…

I just think the Asian Tour is getting a little stronger each and every year. It's drawing better players. As you can see with the cuts, the cuts are moving up, so you got to play better. There is -- you know, it felt like in the past you could play okay and get away with it. Now it feels like you have to play well to compete out here. But, yeah, the Asian Tour is doing great job this whole -- everything that's been happening is just boosting it and just exciting for the future.”

The former LIV star added that fresh competition on the Asian Tour is forcing him to play better.

For the unversed, the $5 million series finale at Riyadh Golf Club offers elevated points offering LIV chances for any player remaining in the top ten, which includes four LIV Golfers. Players including International Series India winner Ollie Schniederjans, Jakarta champion Wade Ormsby and Japan’s Kazuki Higa all have chances to make big moves at the PIF Saudi International and climb up to the breakaway tour.

It is pertinent to note that the two additional golden tickets to LIV will be available at the third edition of the LIV Golf Promotions event held in January 2026 in Florida.
