Matt Kuchar is looking forward to retaining his PGA Tour card at this week’s RSM Classic. The PGA Tour Fall season is the last chance for the players to secure their cards for the upcoming season.Kuchar has teed it up at this week’s event and made the cut after two rounds. He is looking forward to getting into the top 100 in the FedEx Cup standings in order to have full status to play next season.After three rounds of the RSM Classic, Matt Kuchar is tied for 61st position. In the post-round press conference on Saturday, the American golfer reflected on his chance to get into the top 100 of the FedEx Cup standings and secure his card. He said:"It's been a long time since I lost my job. I would like to keep it.I got a lot of ground to make up in order to keep in that top 100. But I think everybody’s kind of anxious to know just to see how next year plays out."Matt Kuchar’s projected ranking after three rounds of the RSM Classic is 116th. With one more round to go for the completion of the event, it would be interesting to see how things unfold for him.Notably, the top 100 in the FedEx Cup standings will earn their card for the next season, while the top 125 will have a conditional status.A look into Matt Kuchar’s performance at the RSM ClassicMatt Kuchar started his campaign at the RSM Classic with its opening round on Thursday. He teed it up on the first tee hole of the Plantation course and made three birdies and a bogey on the front nine. On the back nine, he made three birdies for a round of 5-under 67.He then played bogey-free rounds on the second day. He started on the tenth hole of the Seaside course and added two birdies on the back nine for a round of 2-under 68 and made the cut.On Saturday, Matt Kuchar again played on the Seaside course and had a fantastic start. He made two birdies on the front nine but struggled on the par-4 fourth hole. He ended up making a double bogey on the hole, followed by a bogey on the sixth and a birdie on the seventh for an even-par 70.With 7-under, Kuchar stands at 61st position after three rounds at the RSM Classic. The tournament will have its final on Sunday.Earlier this season on the PGA Tour, Matt Kuchar played in 17 tournaments and made the cut in 15 of them. He had only one finish in the top 10. Kuchar is looking forward to holding his PGA Tour card for the 19th straight year.
