Australian Open beats LIV Golf Adelaide’s attendance record in 2025: Reports

Australian Open has overtaken LIV Golf Adelaide's 2025 attendance record. The national open of the country witnessed 112,698 fans in attendance this week surpassing LIV Golf Adelaide's record by decent margin.

The Australian Open took place from December 4 to 7 at the Royal Melbourne. The event witnessed many big names of golf including World No. 2 Rory McIlroy in action where Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen beat local hero Cameron Smith by single stroke.

On Sunday, December 7, Golf Digest's Evin Priest shared the Australian Open fans data on X.

"ATTENDANCE: the 2025 Australian Open saw 112,698 fans through the gates all week. LIV Golf Adelaide’s 2025 attendance was 102,000. LIV had one less tournament round but Aus Open had no concerts. 2019 P Cup enjoyed massive crowds, but I can’t find official attendance," he wrote.
