Before Malosi, a video of Paige Spiranac went viral on the internet for allegedly trying to improve her lie before taking a shot.

The opposite team members asked her about it, and in the video, the social media influencers said that she didn’t know that they were not allowed to do it. She also said that she did not improve the lie and had not moved the ball.

"I thought we could do that. I didn’t realize that you couldn’t do that. … I didn’t think I improved the lie. I didn’t move the ball," she said.

Spiranac also said that she had not tried to cheat in the game.

"I wasn’t trying to cheat, like I would never do that,” she added.

However, before she could finish her statements, she got emotional and started crying on the greens.

Paige Spiranac had played golf as a professional, but these days she is enjoying her career as a content creator. Earlier this week, a fan was critical of her behaviour at the Internet Invitational. She replied to him with a long message.

Although she doesn’t play in official tournaments these days, she played in Creator Classic, a PGA Tour event organized for the content creators, and then joined the Grass League series before appearing in the Internet Invitational.

Notably, Team Brad Dalke, Frances Ellis, and Cody “Beef” Franke won the Internet Invitational 2025 and earned $1 million in prize money. They defeated Spiranac, Tohisala, and Frankie Borrelli. The tournament was held at Big Cedar Lodge in Missouri.
