Victor Perez has become LIV Golf League’s first fresh signing ahead of the 2026 season. The three-time DP World Tour winner opted to leave the PGA Tour and join Martin Kaymer-led Cleeks GC in the breakaway circuit. Following this, his new teammate Adrian Meronk has welcomed the French golfer to the side.Perez withdrew from this weekend’s RSM Classic outing confirming his LIV Golf move. Meanwhile, Meronk, teeing up at the PIF Saudi International 2025 in Riyadh, dubbed it a “good signing.” The Polish golfer lauded his new teammate and dubbed the latter a “great,” “very steady” player. The four-time European Tour winner stated that he is looking forward to meeting his former college golf and Challenge tour rival again.Speaking about Victor Perez joining his team, Adrian Meronk said on Wednesday, as quoted by ASAP Sports:“I think it's a good signing. I've known Victor for a long time. Played college golf, junior golf, then Challenge and European Tour… Yeah, he's a great player, very steady. I think that's who we need on our team. I think it's going to be a good addition to our team, and I'm looking forward to meeting him again.”For the unversed, Meronk signed with LIV’s Cleeks GC ahead of the 2024 season and has since won once on the tour. Now, the golfer has made the switch and joined the breakaway tour ahead of the final FedExCup Fall event.Perez joins Martin Kaymer, Richard Bland and Adrian Meronk on the Cleeks GC side, which finished 12th in LIV series’ 13-team standings after the 2025 season. The Frenchman replaces Frederik Kjettrup, who was relegated after finishing 57th in the series’ standings. The 33-year-old made the big switch to the breakaway tour while sitting 108th in the FedExCup standings.Cleeks GC first teased a new signing with a cryptic social media post.
