Adam Schenk won his maiden PGA Tour title in his 243rd start at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship 2025. The 33-year-old played bogey-free 4-under 67 on Saturday and followed it up with an even-par 71 in the final round to clinch the win. With this, the Indiana native moved up to 67 in the FedExCup Fall rankings ahead of the season finale. For the unversed, Schenk was 139th ahead of the FedEx Fall standings at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship start. The PGA Tour regular was two weeks away from returning to Q-school, sitting No. 134 in the FedEx Cup. However, Schenk won at the Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton and moved up to 67th to avoid a certain return to the Korn Ferry Tour next season. The 1-time Korn Ferry Tour winner has now revealed his full commitment to The RSM Classic at the Sea Island Golf Club on St. Simons Island.Replying to a query about the possibility of playing at The RSM Classic, Butterfield Bermuda Championship winner Adam Schenk said, as quoted by ASAP Sports:“I'm playing.”The ace golfer opted against skipping the event unlike most regular PGA Tour winners. Furthermore, he also revealed catching a night flight out of Bermuda with Ben Kohles, Grayson Sigg and Braden Thornberry, skipping a big celebration of his maiden circuit win.Adam Schenk to skip Q-school after Bermuda Championship winAdam Schenk admitted being relieved to have avoided a return to the Q-school by entering the top-100 bubble, also showed intent to climb into the top-60 with a good outing in Georgia. The champion golfer went on to reveal that he didn’t sign up for Q-School this year. He claimed the amount of time he spends away from the family as a reason to dislike the process.Adam Schenk added:“No (didn’t sign for Q-school), but I've been thinking about it a lot. That may be the biggest motivation this week is just another week away from my family and two little boys and my wife and farm, my golf farm where I practice, just being away from them… I just didn't really want to do that… Honestly, I probably would have bought out today for a solo second or a tie to second to whatever made me not have to go to Q-School.Honestly, I wouldn't have done it at the start of the day, but I wouldn't have been disappointed if that's the way it ended up because I think winning's great, it's awesome, but like not having to go to Q-School is so big, and having two years and hopefully this can catapult me because like I've said, I've told a lot of people, I'm still decent at golf. I still love it, I still care about it.”It is pertinent to note that Schenk also jumped 114 places on the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) from 246 to 132 after the Butterfield Bermuda Championship win. It is also noteworthy that the golfer’s win at the penultimate event of the FedEx Fall season comes after missing 15 cuts in 28 outings all year, 8 missed cuts in last 14 starts.
