Ballester joined the circuit straight from college this year. However, he had a tough time this season in the Saudi league but bounced back this week at the PIF Saudi International.

After the opening round of the event on Wednesday, Ballester opened up about playing on the LIV Golf circuit after college and the challenges in the league. He said (via Flushing It):

"Out of college I was not playing as good as I am right now, but also I was doing some things outside that weren't helping me. But yeah, I mean, the reason of joining LIV, it's been great and why now I'm seeing these better results slowly is when you're surrounded by players that are better than you, you gotta bring your best, right? So I feel like slowly I'm bringing my better version of myself and yeah, I'm really excited to learn from all these players.”

Josele Ballester started his campaign at the LIV Golf Virginia and settled in a T50 position. He then finished in 48th in Dallas and in T23 in Adelaide. However, after his struggles in the first three events, he bounced back with a T7 in the UK event and a T2 in Chicago.

In the press conference of the PIF Saudi league, Ballester talked about his LIV Golf season. He said (via ASAP Sports):

"It's been great. I only played a half season. The beginning was a little bit of a struggle. Coming right after college, it was a little adaptation time, but I'm pretty happy for where I am right now, especially with that first month in which things didn't really go as I wanted. Now I look back at where I'm standing right now and how I'm playing, I'm pretty happy with how everything turned out."

Josele Ballester last played on the LIV Golf at the Indianapolis event in August and settled in solo 39th place. He wrapped the season in 35th position in the season standings.

"It was great. It was really good golf from the first hole to the last. I could have maybe made a few more putts on the back nine, but I started hitting it really well, felt really comfortable off the tee, which is an advantage on this golf course."

Aside from the LIV Golf, Josele Ballester had also played in the majors this season. He played at the Masters but struggled to make the cut, and then also played at the US Open but missed the cut.
