The 2025 Hero World Challenge tees off on Thursday, December 4, at Albany Golf Course in the Bahamas. The 20-player event, hosted by Tiger Woods, is unofficial on the PGA Tour schedule but offers a $5 million purse and Official World Golf Ranking points.

This year’s field features several top names, including defending champion and world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, 2025 U.S. Open winner J.J. Spaun, Justin Rose, Robert MacIntyre, Keegan Bradley, and others. Tiger Woods will not compete as he continues his recovery from injury.

Players will head out in groups of two from the first tee, with Scheffler and Jordan Spieth making up the final pairing at 12:25 p.m. ET. Golf Channel will start its coverage at 1:30 p.m. ET on Thursday.

In recent years, Viktor Hovland won back-to-back titles in 2021 and 2022, while Scottie Scheffler enters 2025 as the two-time defending champion after victories in 2023 and 2024.

2025 Hero World Challenge prize money breakdown

The winner of the 2025 Hero World Challenge will take home $1 million, which accounts for 20% of the tournament’s $5 million purse.
