Paige Spiranac didn't abide by the clothing rules of golf and has always been unconventional with her attire. Even though she received a lot of backlash for that, the former professional golfer adhered to her choices. She mostly preferred spandex clothes and breathable tank tops as her go-to outfit.
In 2023, Spiranac was on the Up and Adams Show, where she shared her reason for choosing those types of attire. She added her take on body positivity and said:
"I was a competitive gymnast before I switched over to golf and so I was so comfortable being in leotards. When I started playing golf I didn't have enough money to go out and buy a whole new golf appropriate wardrobe and so I would often wear athletic outfits that I had in my closet and that was leggings and tank tops amd that's how I learned the game of golfon public golf courses." Previously, Spiranac shared about the stringent golf outfit norms with Sports Illustrated. In the end, she mentioned that the mentality was evolving gradually. She added, via NY Post:
"That was always my mindset when I got into golf, and it really rubs people the wrong way which is shocking. They’ll have really intense discussions over if they should wear shorts or pants or a blade collar or a real collar and I’m just out here just in tank tops or spandex and people are like ‘What are you doing?’ But I love it. But we’re starting to see that change and fashion is a big part of growing the game and it’s moving in the right direction."
Paige Spiranac used to play professional golf in 2016 for the Cactus Tour. In the same year, she attempted to qualify for the LPGA Tour, but after failing to do so, she quit golf and retired from the sport. Currently, she is a full-time content creator and social media influencer, flaunting four million followers on her Instagram handle.
Paige Spiranac donned a black dress on the golf course
Paige Spiranac wore a black dress on the greens and uploaded five pictures in the attire on Instagram. She posed in different positions and wrote a caption:
"I’ve been getting asked a lot to post more golf content lol and it’s funny because this is the first year in awhile where I actually practiced hard, played some really cool courses, and fell back in love with the game❤️ I played more this year than I have in a long time and honestly playing better than ever. I’ve always loved golf but it’s been a love/hate relationship which I’m sure we can all relate to at times lol. My scores were always tied into my self worth and playing just wasn’t that much fun."
Paige Spiranac played at the Internet Invitational, which is a six-episode series, welcoming 48 content creators in 24 groups. Before that, she also appeared at the Creator Classic, which was a three-part event. Spiranac played in the one before the Truist Championship and served as a content analyst at the other two.
