Manchester United are reportedly looking to snap up AFC Bournemouth striker Antonie Semenyo when the transfer window reopens next month. The 25-year-old has been with the Cherries since arriving from Bristol City in January 2023.

Semenyo has struck seven times and provided three assists in 16 games across competitions that season. All the goal contributions have come in 15 outings in the Premier League, where the Cherries (21) are 13th after 16 games, trailing leaders Arsenal by 15.

Although the Ghana international is contracted to the Vitality Stadium till 2030, Semenyo could be on the move in January. That's because as per journalist James Tucker of the Telegraph (via Utd Report), the Red Devils could leave no stone unturned to land the striker, with cross-town rivals Manchester City also in the fray.

Semenyo notably scored against United in a 4-4 Premier League draw at Old Trafford last week.

As per Sky Sports, the attacker has a £65 million release clause in his Bournemouth contract that activates on January 1, explaining the interest of top clubs in the Premier League.

Overall, the 25-year-old has scored 29 times and provided 13 assists in 105 games across competitions for the Cherries.

The Red Devils led twice in the first half and overturned a 3-2 second-half deficit to lead with 11 minutes to go. However, they conceded an equaliser five minutes later to drop points.

"It might look like we lost the two points in the second half, but I think we lost them in the first half," said Amorim (as per the BBC). "We dominated and created so many chances. We had to go to half-time with a different result.

"In the end, we deserved more. It was a fun game for everyone at home. People - especially at Old Trafford - want to win, but they want to be inspired to see a team play good football. We did that well in certain moments."

He added:

"It was a good performance, but we need to be more clinical because we created so many chances."

Manchester United next take on third-placed Aston Villa - who have won their last six games - in the league on Sunday (December 21) as they seek to remain in touch with the top four.
