Brentford are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Ireland international could be on his way out of Anfield in search of regular game time. Although the shot-stopper has impressed whenever called upon, he is second choice behind Alisson for the Reds.
Overall, Kelleher made 26 appearances across competitions in the 2023-24 season, keeping five clean sheets as Alisson endured time on the sidelines due to injury.
As a result, the 25-year-old has been linked with a move to Brentford, with Celtic among other clubs also interested in signing the goalkeeper (via Liverpool Echo). Despite interest from clubs outside England, Kelleher would likely want to remain in the Premier League.
He came up the ranks with the Reds and made 47 appearances across competitions for the senior team, keeping 15 clean sheets. Although not playing a significant part, Kelleher is a Premier League and Champions League winner with the Merseyside giants.
According to the aforementioned report, Kelleher is valued at £15 million and is seen as one of the best backup goalkeepers in the English top flight. His current deal at Anfield expires in the summer of 2026.
With Alisson contracted with Liverpool till the summer of 2027, it is extremely unlikely that Kelleher will break into the first team ahead of the Brazil international.
Caoimhin Kelleher seemingly hints at searching for a move away from Liverpool

Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has seemingly hinted at wanting a move away from Anfield in search of regular game time. He even admitted that it would be tough to get ahead of Alisson as the club's first choice between the sticks.
He told The Athletic (via Yahoo Sport):
"It was my time to show the level I believe I can perform at and the level people at the club think I'm able to play at. I proved that I'm good enough to play in the Premier League- I'm comfortable there. I've always had that belief in myself. Proving it to people was satisfying."
"It would be great if (I could be number one) at Liverpool, but I'm not silly. I know that Ali has been the best goalkeeper in the world for years," Kelleher added.
In addition to the clubs already mentioned, the likes of Nottingham Forest showed interest in the goalkeeper back in January. Therefore, Kelleher would have sufficient options to choose from.
Kelleher has also represented Ireland on 13 occasions, keeping seven clean sheets. He's competing with Gavin Bazunu for a spot in the Ireland goal.
