Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni next summer. They are looking to replace Casemiro, whose contract at Old Trafford expires next summer.
Manchester United signed a number of attackers in the summer but failed to strengthen their midfield. They were linked with Brighton & Hove Albion star Carlos Baleba, but the move didn't happen. As per Defensa Central, they have now shifted their attention towards Aurelien Tchouameni.
The Red Devils are looking to replace Casemiro, whom they signed from Real Madrid in 2022. They could look to offer him a new contract on reduced wages, but he could reject the offer. Hence, they could plot a move for Tchouameni next summer.
The French midfielder joined Los Blancos from AS Monaco in 2022 for a reported fee of £86 million. He has made 161 appearances for them and also recorded five goals and six assists. He has become a key player under Xabi Alonso, and Real Madrid are unwilling to let him leave.
As per the Defensa Central report, the Spanish giants will only consider offers for Tchouameni if he himself pushes for a move. His contract expires in 2028, and he is valued at around £80 million.
Premier League star names Manchester United and Real Madrid among his dream clubs
Crystal Palace right wing-back Danie Munoz has named Manchester United and Real Madrid among his four dream clubs to play for. The Colombian has been linked with a move away due to his impressive recent performances. He, however, asserted that he is currently focused on doing his best for the Eagles.
"Everything I hear out there, all the talk about one club or another, if you ask me, for me it would be a dream to play for one of these clubs. Whether it’s Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid, or Manchester United, I work towards that, I strive every day, so that maybe one day I can catch the attention of one of these clubs because it’s a dream for me."
"But the truth is that I’m focused on my club, on doing things well at Crystal Palace, and I’m not really aware of what’s being said on social media. I don’t have any information that any of these clubs want me or are interested in me. These days my focus is on Crystal Palace and, obviously, here with the national team," he added.
Crystal Palace signed Munoz from Genk in January 2024. He's recorded eight goals and 14 assists in 81 games for the Eagles.
