Manchester United contact super agent Jorge Mendes to discuss transfer of forward with €80 million release clause: Reports

Manchester United have reached out to super agent Jorge Mendes to understand the conditions of a move for Borussia Dortmund star Karim Adeyemi, as per reports. The Germany international has been linked with a move away from the Signal Iduna Park for over a year, with the likes of Chelsea also interested.

A report from German publication Bild has revealed that the Red Devils have reached out to Mendes, who represents a couple of their own players, at present. They have yet to make a concrete move but will be keeping close tabs on the situation of the speedy forward due to his issues in Germany.

Karim Adeyemi has scored thrice and provided three assists in 14 appearances across all competitions for Borussia Dortmund this season. The 23-year-old appears to be in a standoff with his club over a new deal, with his current deal set to expire in 2027. The forward wants to sign a long-term deal with the club which will include a release clause of €80 million, conditions his club is still weighing.

Manchester United splashed the cash in the summer to bring in Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko, and Matheus Cunha, adding great pace to their attack. Adeyemi's profile is suited to how the Red Devils have setup under Ruben Amorim, with the former Salzburg man a great threat on the counter.

Amorim's side have enjoyed a decent start to the season and will try not to fall away midway through the campaign. They may return to the market to add greater depth and quality to their ranks, and Adeyemí may be tempted with a move to England.

Manchester United have made a surprise approach to sign Real Madrid striker Endrick in the January transfer window, as per The Standard. The Red Devils have joined the race for the Brazilian teenager, who appears destined for a move away from the Bernabeu.

The report, which was relayed via beIN Sports, has revealed that the Red Devils are looking to bring in Endrick to cover for Benjamin Sesko. The Slovenian striker suffered a knee injury in his side's 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend and is expected to spend some time out injured.

Endrick has played only 11 minutes in one substitute appearance across all competitions for Real Madrid this season, leading him to seek a move elsewhere. Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon have been credited with interest, as well, but Manchester United will try to sign the 19-year-old.
