Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star Bradley Barcola. The French winger's contract extension talks haven't progressed, and hence, there is speculation about his future.
Barcola joined PSG from Olympique Lyon in the summer of 2023, signing a five-year deal. The Parisians have tried to offer him a new contract, but talks haven't progressed well. As per Le10Sport, the winger's representatives have rejected an offer with a big salary increase.
As per the report, Arsenal and Liverpool are monitoring Barcola's situation and could look to sign him next summer. He was linked with a move away from Paris last summer as well, but ended up staying at the club. He currently competes with the likes of Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvarataskhelia for his position in the team.
Barcola has scored 31 goals and provided 33 assists in 121 games for PSG. He played a key role as they won the domestic treble, the UEFA Champions League, and the UEFA Super Cup last season.
Arsenal and Liverpool, meanwhile, are looking to strengthen their attack despite their recent signings. The Gunners have been looking to sign a left winger, while the Reds could be looking for a potential Mohamed Salah replacement.
Manchester United interested in swap deal for Arsenal and Liverpool target
Manchester United are reportedly also interested in signing Bradley Barcola next summer. They could include Marcus Rashford, who is on loan at Barcelona, in a potential swap deal.
PSG were heavily linked with a potential move for Rashford in 2024, but a deal didn't go through. He then joined Aston Villa on loan in January, before moving to Barcelona in the summer on a season-long loan. The Blaugrana have a €30 million buy option for him.
However, if Barca don't take up the option, PSG could look to buy him. Manchester United could use Rashford in a swap deal for Barcola. The French winger was also linked with a move away in the summer, but the Parisians manager, Luis Enrique, asserted that he would stay, saying (h/t Metro):
"I have no doubt that he’ll stay our player. We like the fact that our players are interesting other clubs. But he’s one of those young players that we’ve been banking on. I expect him to play here for many more years."
However, with Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United all interested, the 23-year-old could be on the move next summer.
