Harry Kane is reportedly trying to convince Liverpool target Marc Guehi to join Bayern Munich. Guehi's current deal at Crystal Palace expires in the summer of 2026 and he looks unlikely to sign a new deal.

Guehi will be allowed to negotiate a pre-contract deal with overseas sides from January 1st ahead of a free transfer in the summer. However, as per SPORTbible, Crystal Palace would be open to letting their star skipper depart for a fee in January.

Guehi was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer and was close to securing a £35m deadline day move to Anfield back in September. However, the Eagles pulled the plug at the eleventh hour as they could not get a replacement.

Arne Slot's side have reportedly maintained their interest in the England international. However, the 25-year-old has also attracted interest from several top clubs across Europe, such as Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

According to SPORTbible, England captain Harry Kane is trying his best to convince his compatriot to join him at the Allianz Arena. Kane shares a strong bond with Guehi, having shared the England dressing room on 25 occasions.

Guehi has established himself as one of the best defenders in the Premier League since joining Crystal Palace in 2021 from Chelsea. He has made 177 appearances for the Eagles till date and captained them to FA Cup and FA Community Shield success earlier this year.

Caoimhin Kelleher opens up on his departure from Liverpool this summer

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has opened up on his exit from Anfield in the summer. The Ireland international joined Brentford for an initial £12.5 million, putting an end to his ten-year stint at the Merseyside club.

Kelleher has claimed that he was right to quit Anfield as he needed to become a regular first-choice between the sticks. He said on the Ben Foster podcast:

"[On leaving Liverpool] It was a big decision, to be fair, but the timing was right for me as well. I was there 10 years – started when I was 16 at the Academy, and then all the way through, probably about five years with the first team. But I never had any loans or anything like that. So, all my playing experience was Liverpool – mostly as the no.2. It was hard leaving, because I've got good friendships there and good people are there. But in terms of football, it was probably an easy decision, to be honest."

He added:

"[I did notice the media attention] a little bit. When you come in and you play well, that's exactly what people say straight away [that I need to be playing first team football]. But the frustration for me was that people think it's just straightforward – that I can just leave. As if I play well and then I just go into Liverpool and say, 'Right, I'm going. Let me go.' It doesn’t work like that. That was more the frustration. Of course, I want to be playing every week – that's just not the way it was. Being a no.2 is hard; you get a few games, and you must do well. But it worked out well for me in the end at Liverpool."

Kelleher moved to Liverpool in 2015 as a youngster from Irish side Ringmahon and made his senior debut in 2019. Over the last few years, he served as the number two behind Alisson Becker and also their cup keeper.

The Irishman made 67 appearances for Liverpool and helped the club win six trophies. He played key roles for the Reds' in their FA Cup-winning campaign in 2021-22 and League Cup triumphs in 2021-22 and 2023-24.

He has done pretty well since joining Brentford and has started all 14 Premier League games for the Bees. He has conceded 22 goals in 14 games and has kept two clean sheets.
