Cristiano Ronaldo is set to dive into the entertainment scene in Madrid by setting up a luxury private club in the city along with some associates. The 40-year-old superstar is nearing the end of his professional football career and appears to be diversifying in other interests of his.

In a report from Libertad Digital (via The Sun), Ronaldo appears set to collaborate with Inigo Onieva to set up a tiered private member's club in the city where he resided for nine years. This club is aimed at creating an atmosphere where luxury is not just in the decoration, but becomes woven into the individual members.

The club will require a one-off payment of £13,000 for the 'Founders' tier, a high-end membership that will be available strictly by invite. This tier of members will be prioritized in events and will be granted a lifetime access to the club and all its activities. Mobile phones will be banned from the club's activities, giving it a more secret feel to its members.

There will also be a local membership cost of around £2,000 per year, and a further £1,750 payment upon registration. Younger people under the age of 35 will be favoured with discounts, as they will only pay £1300 per year and £900 in registration fees. Couples can also join the club, with their own membership cost standing at £1,750 per year.

Al-Nassr man Cristiano Ronaldo appears to be looking to move back to Madrid at the end of his spell in Saudi Arabia, where he has a contract until 2027. He revealed in his tell-all interview with Piers Morgan last month that he is prepared for the day he will retire, and this new venture appears to be one of his plans for that eventuality.
