Barcelona have suffered another injury blow as midfielder Dani Olmo is reportedly set for a spell on the sidelines following his injury against Atletico Madrid. The Spanish giants claimed all three points at the Spotify Camp Nou, overcoming Diego Simeone's side by a 3-1 scoreline. A report from COPE journalist Helena Condis has revealed (via @BarcaUniversal) that Olmo picked up a shoulder injury in the second half of the meeting with Atletico Madrid. The Spain international will likely spend at least three weeks on the sidelines with the dislocated shoulder, and could be out of action until January. Dani Olmo was influential for Barcelona as they overcame Atletico Madrid to claim a fifth LaLiga win on the bounce. The 28-year-old won a penalty for his side in the first half before finding the back of the net in the second half to put his side 2-1 up in the encounter. Former RB Leipzig star Olmo has found his best form after a slow start to the 2025-26 season, scoring three goals in his last two games for Hansi Flick's side. He injured his shoulder while he scored the second goal for his side at home, and was forced off immediately afterwards, with Marcus Rashford replacing him. Barcelona are worried about the state of Olmo's shoulder as he had previously undergone surgery to repair a dislocation on the same shoulder. The midfielder joins fellow Spaniard Fermin Lopez on the sidelines, leaving Hansi Flick's side short of natural options in their position. Barcelona extend LaLiga lead following impressive win over Atletico Madrid Barcelona came from behind to defeat rivals Atletico Madrid in their LaLiga meeting at the Spotify Camp Nou, extending their 100% record at the stadium this season. Dani Olmo won his side a penalty in the first half, which Robert Lewandowski blazed over the bar from 12 yards. Olmo put his side ahead for the first time in the game in the 65th minute, firing home from inside the box before he was forced off with a dislocated shoulder. The visitors pushed for a leveller, but Hansi Flick's side had the final say as substitute Ferran Torres scored a third goal for his side in stoppage time.
