Chelsea fans question Liam Rosenior's decision

Chelsea fans are furious with new manager Liam Rosenior after he named two players in his first-ever starting XI at the club in their FA Cup game at Charlton Athletic. The manager has picked Tosin Adarabioyo and Benoit Badiashile as his center-backs, and some fans are not happy with the decision.

Flip Jorgensen is the chosen goalkeeper today ahead of Robert Sanchez. Josh Acheampong is playing at right-back, with Jorrel Hato on the opposite flank.

Moises Caicedo captains the side today, and he has Andrey Santos to partner him in the midfield. Facundo Buonanotte is the attacking midfielder, and he has Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens on either side. Marc Guiu is the striker today ahead of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.

The striker XI is heavily rotated from the usual Premier League lineups for the Blues, but the fans are more focused on the inclusion of the two center-backs than anybody else. Fans posted:

Liam Rosenior is taking charge of his first match at Chelsea after he was appointed earlier this week. The Englishman has replaced Enzo Maresca, who parted ways with the club on New Year's Day.

Liam Rosenior hinted at goalkepeer rotation at Chelsea

Robert Sanchez has been the main goalkeeper at Chelsea this season, and he has been in impressive form. The Spaniard is benched today for Jorgensen, who has been linked with an exit this month, and it comes just hours after Liam Rosenior hinted that he was yet to pick his #1 at the club.

He said in his pre-match press conference (via Football London):

"Every team is different. You work to the ability of your players. You work to what their strengths are. I'm very fortunate. Both Jorgensen and Sanchez are world-class goalkeepers with their feet, which absolutely suits the way I want to play. But I'm not going to come in here on the first day and say to Rob to play from the halfway line or for Filipe to play from the halfway."

"It takes time, it's a process. I feel very confident. I can bring the best out of my group in different areas and different aspects. Playing one way with one team is different to playing another way with another. I can be adaptable. It's about my players and their strengths."

Jorgensen has played just six times for the Blues this season, and is yet to keep a clean sheet.
